On Tuesday, Macy's announced it is cutting 100 management jobs as part of a restructuring plan.
Business Insider says Macy's expects the restructuring to generate annual expense savings of $100 million starting in fiscal 2019.
Bob Phibbs, "Retail Doctor" said the restructuring plan "doesn't seem bold enough" to help boost customer demand.
"Retail Doctor" says department stores like Macy's should focus on building connections with customers.
