According to a report by Reuters, on Thursday, France's CGT trade union called on its energy industry workers to walk out for 48 hours in support of the 'yellow-vest' movement. The CGT reportedly said that President Emmanuel Macron's long-term energy-transition plan would hurt jobs and increase France's dependency on neighboring countries. The union reportedly said that its members were 'joining the protests which the country is currently experiencing.
